Yesterday was a little tiring with the kids' activities and running errands but I survived. Managed to go to bed by 10PM and wake up on time at the alarm. But I left just a couple of minutes after 5.05 and that made me drive a little faster than I should have. I almost jumped a red light in order to reach on time. Not good. I have to wake up at 4.00AM from tomorrow.
I reached just in time and the class was full. I hate reaching at the last minute and rushing in to set up the mat, taking off my finger rings and wrapping my water bottle in a hand towel. A quick trip to the bathroom and by the time I came back Suzann was already in the room, getting everybody ready for Pranayama breathing.
My husband T, also a Bikram yogi, has suggested taking the highway rather than the road to be able to reach early. I am going to try it tomorrow and see if it helps me get to class early.
There are two pregnant ladies in my class and one of them is scheduled to go into labor today. I am in awe of both of them. They look amazingly fit for full term pregnancies and attempt most of the postures with a few variations on some of the asanas.
Suzann without fail managed to correct one of my flaws. This time, it was in the sit ups during floor exercises. My hands and elbows were a little bit higher than they should have been. Lowering them made my situp so much better. Love you Suzann.
My partner in crime, Erin has been there both days. I hope she is there with me all the way. Will update Day 3 and Day 4 tomorrow. Namsate.
Highways always the best as there is a higher speed limit. Even I am not an early riser, so I can understand if you say that 5 mins of sleep is *precious*. :-)..
ReplyDeleteWishing good health to you and your friend Erin.

You go, girl! Just drive safely! It's just not worth it - for you or anyone else who might be on the road at the same time.
ReplyDeleteSiri, during traffic hours it takes the same time to take the highway or the road. But the highway is so much faster in the early morning hours.
ReplyDeleteManisha, I am sticking to highways from now on so no almost running red lights. I will definitely drive safely.
